Y-Axis goes too far when homing
Hi,
First of all great to be part of the Prusa Community. I'm printing for the last 9 years on my self build prusa but recently bought a Prusa Mini+.
After 2 months of printing i'm noticing a strange sound when starting a print.
It happens when the bed is homing to the back to start a print after checking the bed mesh. It looks to me that the motor tries to push it farther then possible.
Anybody experienced this also? and better, how can i solve it?
Already thanks alot for thinking and helping!
Greetings.

In addition the selftest on the y-axis also failed. :S checked the belts, rots and squaring.

Hello NIRACreationz, I have the same problem. Have you found the error?

Did you two manage to solve the problem? I’ve got the same issue myself…
RE: Y-Axis goes too far when homing
I am currently dealing with a Y-Axis failure. So far I was told to make sure the y axis is square, which is easy enough. After some YouTube help videos, I've decided to clean and re grease the Bearings. I will post an update once this has been done.
RE: Y-Axis goes too far when homing
I may have had the same problem as all of you -- when homing, the y-axis motors will make a grinding noise, as if they're trying to pull the bed even further back. I haven't found a fix, it happens intermittently (not for every print) and my partner has since cleaned and greased the bearings. We'll see if that helps.
