"Watchdog Reset" showing on my Mini + screen
Hello,
These days, I frequently have a "Watchdog Reset" showing on my Mini + screen.
It appears when I make large prints of more than 3 hours. I have no problem with small prints lasting 1 to 2 hours.
I did a sefltest and everything is OK.
Have you ever had this error screen? and why it appears and how to solve the problem?
I restart the printer, my printing died, but the printer restarts normally.
See the picture in attached file.
Thanks for your help.
Check the bed thermistor
The bed thermistor opening up in a bad spot will flag this error.
Move the bed back and forth slowly looking for -15C. Any variation greater than 2 degrees while in motion is a clue you're close.
Good luck!
It was issue with ISB Drive
Hello
Thanks for your answer.
I contacted the Prusa support, they told me to test them with the USB drive delivery with the printer ..... and since no more errors, all the prints are fine.
So issue was with my USB drive...but I don't know why.
Thanks again for your support

Scrap the Original USB Drive
I had these problems too and found out that the USB-Drive from Prusa was the problem. I would suggest to remove the Ring attached to the Drive (It works like a lever to the USB Stick) it caused the stick having bad contact sometimes and due to the high read/write sessions and the vibrations coming from the printer, the stick is getting hotter and hotter. Together with the ring it can cause crashes.
Also a Problem could be the use of an USB-Extender cable, some of them aren't that good, speaking of keeping the USB-Standard Regulations.
Good Luck.

Issue with USB Drive
Hello Richard,
I never used USB-Extender cable, only USB-Drive.
I noticed that it depends on the USB sticks I was using.
I think the vibrations move the key and make a disconnection. If the key is too light it can cause problems .... that's my opinion, I am not about this.
I have no problem with some key and other it makes the message "Watchdog error" appear after a long printing time (more 1h00).
Best regards
RE: Cable
That is interesting. So you are saying it is a bad USB port?

Mini #6
Good, that is easier to replace. I have one that might be bad. I just bought another clone and it is resetting from the factory. I will replace the drive and maybe Mini #6 will start printing.
