Temperature Increase needed for PLA?

I have had my Mini+ for about a month and a half and I have had to increase the temperature to print my Prusament PLA from 215C when I first got the machine, and now I have to print at 240C  minimum to get anything to extrude. I have been doing that for about a week with no issues until last night, when the machine had issues extruding at 250C, the plastic came out in dots, correct squish and thickness just looked like Morse Code. I feel like I will have to increase the temperature again to get anything to print. I changed the filament to a new roll and the same thing happened. Has anyone else had this issue?

Obvious thought: have you checked for a clog? Plenty of info in the Prusa knowledge base and on this forum. Just look for clogged nozzle or clogged hotend.

240-250C is high for PLA.

I agree, at 215C nothing extrudes and the extruder stepper clicks. Could the temperature sensor be faulty or calibrated incorrectly?

Did you take a look at the extruder gear? I had this once and the gear was really dirty. Try to clean it and maybe remove the idler screw to check if there is something in there that shouldn't be.

Yes, this is my experience. If you need to raise temperatures to print then a blocked hot end could be the culprit. The blockage in mine was tiny. It took a lot of probing with patience to get it out. Cold pulls failed to remove it so I carefully used needles and light treatment with a hand-held drill bit.

@3dk

Probably true.  I have also found that increasing the temp can move the clog higher in the heatbreak with heat creep.
