Replaced REVO on Mini- it swap filaments, but won't print?
I have 2 Minis, both with REVO mods. On one, the hot end failed. Beena few months, so I'm blanking on the specifics beyond it was a general and physical failure.
Finally got around to changing the hot end. The unit heats up and will swap filaments- so it will heat up and run. But when I try to print something, it resets hard. I have seen messages about running the calibrations. And it will do the XYZ calibrations, but it then crashes...? It acts like I hit the reset button?
After swapping in the new hot end, I updated to the latest firmware 6.2.4. The other mini runs that firmware with out issues.
Why would it allow me to swap filaments, but won't print or calibrate?
RE: Replaced REVO on Mini- it swap filaments, but won't print?
IT fails at the "heater test" step of calibration. Just reboots. Same thing when I try to start a print.
But it will heat up and change filaments?
RE:
Do you use stock heater from the prusa or something different?
Because each heater + cooling setup has a different dynamics and there is a test for checking the pid control, maybe it gets triggered because actual heating values are out of band of expected ones and the firmware crashes. But in that case it should be reported in the Prusa Firmware Buddy repo on GitHub.

I'm just replacing the E3D heating element that I had on there before. So no real changes. I back tracked to 6.2.1 and it seems to be working. I do notice that when it was loading the filament, that the temp stability wasn't great. For PETG the set point is 230, and it was dropping to 226. Trying a first print now. It crashed before this step before we'll see...
Is there a 6.2.4 and E3d REVO issue?
RE: Replaced REVO on Mini- it swap filaments, but won't print?
maybe thermistor/heater are not properly touching the heater block (especially the thermistor) and it gets thermal drops due to print head movements.

I dn't know, maybe worth checking github? https://github.com/prusa3d/Prusa-Firmware-Buddy/issues?q=sort%3Aupdated-desc%20is%3Aissue%20revo
