Random printing issues

Hello,

I have been experiencing issues with my prints for a while, they are never perfect, but the most recurring issue is sometimes it looks like filament is not properly

extructed and not sticking to the current layer (see image below) (this is a finished print and was already removed from the bed, that's why it's not straight for the picture)

What could be this issue coming from ?

Print details :

This is printed with amazonbasics PLA @215°C

Filament is in a dry box during all the print and printer is in an enclosure @ ~24°C

Firmware version 6.0

Nozzle X 0.4mm

Print speed reduced to 90%, profile used 0.20mm Quality

Z = -1.025

Thank you in advance for your help

RE: Random printing issues

do a regular maintenance of the printer (check screws, belt tensions), especially:
- check short ptfe tube in the hotend
- long ptfe tube between the extruter and the hotend if it is not used up inside or if chafered properly
- remove dust from the extruder
- tighten screws to the heating element to heating block

Also please provide photo of the first layer only and picture it from the angle, it's hardly visible what's going on now.

RE: Random printing issues

Thank you for your answer, I'll do all the maintenance steps you described during the weekend as it might requires a lot of time, and do a test print.

I'll send you a better picture in the meantime as it's not the first layer the issue, but in this instance the last layer. The last layer is not smooth and you have irregular lines as if the nozzle touched the print too deep.

On the side of the square (2nd picture), you can see that one layer separation happened at some point during the print.

I'm pretty new to 3D printing, so far didn't have too much troubles, but this one is coming back on a lot of my prints and don't know what is the cause.

Other notes:
- dry the filament spool (just keeping it with silica gel is not enough if it was produced over 3 months ago)
- if you print do you see any blobs on the nozzle, those may end in scrubbing the print area?
- any vibrations around the printer, especially the ones that could cause the print head go up/down (also maybe loose screws can cause the Z axis to wobble?)

RE: Random printing issues

Sorry for the very late reply,

I did a maintenance and tighten screw of the XZ axis  as they were quite loose

I also cleaned the extruder and added an extra layer of padding under the printer to prevent vibrations.

I retried to print and increase the heat of the nozzle as well (210°C before, now 218°C) and the result is now perfect

Thank you very much for your help
