Prusa mini wild temperature fluctuations
I've got serious problems with my new Prusa mini. The temperature is not stable now and then during prints. Sometimes it is unstable most of the times sometimes only some of the time. The temp swings is almost always +-20 degrees. I've replaced the heatbreak for the Bondtech one, so I'm thinking that I might have damaged the thermistor?
RE: Prusa mini wild temperature fluctuations
If it was a Mk3 I would do a PID tune, from the LCD Menu, but it looks like that is not an option on the Mini...
Have a look on youtube, for PID tune, and try it with Prontaprint...
here is the Prusa Knowledge base article,

Good luck,

I do think it is something wrong with the thermistor, I poked the wires a bit and now the temp is spot on and has been for a couple of hours. I looked for a PID tuning option on the LCD screen but couldn't find anything. I've ordered a new thermistor, until then I'll continue to fiddle with the wires.

Hi Patrik,
If the temperatures are settled at the moment I would not mess with the wires... no point tempting fate... 🙂
