Printer Resets when Temperature is Raised
Hi everyone,
I was recently doing some maintenance to my prusa mini's hotend, and when I put it back together I came across this error which I have never experienced. It seemed that whenever I tried to raise the temperature of the nozzle only (the heatbed is working fine) the printer would reset and return to the start menu without displaying an error message. I immediately thought that I must have caused some wiring damage to the thermister however when I tested it with a hairdryer it detected the raise in temperature perfectly fine. I am very unsure as to what is causing this, so if anyone has experienced/solved this issue before please let me know.
I have attached video files showing this error.
Thanks,

RE: Printer Resets when Temperature is Raised
Nothing to do with the thermistor as you can correctly read the temperatures. Most likely your recent work caused a short across your heater cartridge wiring. So when it switches on to heat up, the voltage crashes and the printer resets immediately. Its just like connecting the power and ground wires together.

Hi Neophyl,
Thank you so much for this information, I am fairly sure that is precisely the issue as my heating cartridge got pretty mangled and the wires exposed while I was removing it from the block. I tried seperating the wires, was unsuccesful, however when I tried to heat it again a spark formed between them and the printer crashed.
Thanks for letting me know,
