Printer fan not working
So my printer fan stopped working so I assumed it was the fan at fault and ordered another one with the 3 wires yellow/black/red.
Started printer, fan dosent start on boot.
went into temp / Fan speed to 255, still no good.
red cross on selftest on the print fan.
So the green led is active and solid next to the fan port on the buddyboard, I did notice if I hand turn it when set at 255 it will rotate but no where near the high RPM selected more like 10, the green led will flash when its rotating but such a low speed.
I have a 2nd brand new fan which I tested and had the same results as above.
Updated to the latest Firmware from 4.2.1 to 4.2.2
Im at a loss what to try next.

Been through it with prusa support and they also confirmed it’s more then likely the port at fault on the board more so then the fan it’s self ,
I’ve tried different fans and they all work just not with that board.
Warranty should cover a new buddyboard.

Which fan did you buy? Post a link.
these are what I went for, will double check these in another one of my mini's to just confirm they work or not.

should work
Those should work.
Fans are spotty. I have quite a few I would have sworn would work but did not. The Amps and Volts have to be dead on.

Ye I think you're right, to be honest if they don't work and with the need for a new thermistor on another mini.
I'm more then likely gonna go down the route of ordering direct from prusa, I should of added some on on my last order when I purchased a load of belts and other spares that I needed to do some maintenance but at the time didnt know I needed any.,
RE: Fan
So I tested the fan on another mini and it worked fine .
retested on the mini with the fault and still no luck , I did do another test and plugged the original fan I thought was faulty into the hotend fan port and it works ok.
So now I’m putting it down to maybe the buddyboard port and if so not sure what I can do next ?
LEDs active so seems like they’re is some sort of power going to it
check fuses and seem ok
SUGGESTION

I can suggest one that will work if you can find it in the UK.
