New bearings and Rods
hi everyone, I need to get new bearings and rods for my mk2.s. Very deep scratches, tracks. I also checked with a magnet and it is not attracted to it.
I’ll have a new set ordered tonight. I was wondering what grease and degreaser do you use? Whether it’s Misumi or any other brand.

Second - To answer your question: I've used alcohol to first clean my misumis - Datasheet says this isn't neccecary if you use the mentioned greasings.
Out of the datasheet of Misumis LMU8's:
"Recommended Grease: Lithium soap based grease (Alvania Grease S2 by Showa Shell Sekiyu).
Recommended Greasing Interval: Normally 6 months
Every 3 month when travel distance is extensive, or every 1000km" <- Industrial.

400g of this grease costs about 5 bucks and will last like forever.
It’s better to give than to receive. Especially advice.
