Mini Banding and Ripples
Hello! I have been using the Mini (pre-assembled not kit) for about half a year now. Wonderful machine, produced fantastic prints and I've been using it a lot.
A few weeks ago, I got some pretty severe banding (fairly large increments), which I was able to largely eliminate by tightening the X-belt a bit. But there is one more mystery I can't figure out .....yet. And I'm hoping the community can shed some light and perhaps provide some direction and tips.
Recently all prints have these ridges and ripples - not really sure if this is still "banding". I've tried: adjusting the temperature, tweaking the x-belt tension, making sure the screws on the motor are tight, adjusting the idler tension, and various filaments. I tried to print some mini popsicles last week in multiple colors and you can see all of them have the funny lines. Even the blue one, which was prusament blue, also had those lines but not as noticeable (perhaps due to the color).
I even tried tweaking the extrusion multiplier but that made barely any impact even at 0.90 or 0.95.
Does anyone have suggestions or tips? I even wondered if this would be related to a worn nozzle - but the machine is fairly new and I only printed PLA and PETG. I wanted to ask the forums before I pull the plug on buying a new nozzle to test!
Thank you so much in advance!
