Jump during sequential printing

It would be a very useful feature in some further firmware a "Jump to the next object" option on the LCD screen during sequential printing.

In PRUSA slicer there section for between objects gcode in the printer settings-custom gcode section,  add what you want it to do in there and it will be added to the generated gcode.

It is clear. But my proposal is to cover a case when during printing an object something goes astray, and printing of that object should be cancelled and printing is to commence at the next object. What custom gcode can be written in the mentioned section to reach the above goal? (Maybe, I am not exterienced enough, sorry!)

Even printing small objects the non sequntial print can be better in to allow to cool down a bit for the current layer the trade of is of course the print time.

What do you expect would cause 'the object is wrong' decision?

What you want is not really a function of the slicer, it would require the printers firmware to be changed to allow it (still needs to be in conjunction with the slicer though).  So nothing you can add in there will make a normal printer capable of it.

Luckily what you want already exists, IF you print using Octoprint.  Prusa Slicer already supports labelling each line of gcode with the target object, so object1, object 2 etc.  As Octoprint is a print server and it spools out gcode a bit at a time to the printer you can install the Cancel Object plugin for Octoprint.  When an Object is cancelled in Octoprint it no longer sends out those lines to the printer.  So your printer skips them.

I don't use Octo personally but you should be able to find everything you need from Google searches.
