Heatbed temperature error mit-print
Hello,
today the last one of my three Prusa printers went unreliable ☹️
After printing about 3 hours a big PETG model, covering the whole heat bed, the Mini+ went into panic and reported a red screen, saying something like a heatbed temperature error - the heatbed won't reach the temperature or the sensor fails. Missed to take a photo. After that, the printer rebooted and the print was junk.
But the heatbed was hot and even the display told me, that it heated to 80°C, as expected! Last week I upgraded the firmware to 6.2.4. I have the strange feeling, that I should not upgrade firmware without need, and I will downgrade again.
Had anyone encountered the same problem? Could it be a loose or damaged contact of the heatbed sensor?
I ran the temperature self tests and they succeeded.

RE: Heatbed temperature error mid-print
"mid-print" of course. Prusa, please increase the edit-timeframe for posts!!
RE: Heatbed temperature error mit-print
I have also been encountering heatbed MINTEMP errors on my Prusa Mini+ after updating to the latest firmware recently. For me the errors have been occurring after a print is finished and before I start a new one, but maybe I am just getting lucky.
The temperature value for the bed will read 0 degrees C, but when I turn the printer off and on it will read the correct temperature and I am able to print again.
RE: Heatbed temperature error mit-print
Update : after going back a couple firmware versions I was still noticing the error. I noticed that if I moved the wire harness going to the printer bed to be mostly horizontal, the bed temp went to 0 degrees C, and if I positioned the wire harness more vertically, it would get an accurate read. It would appear something is loose or shorted; I will need to inspect my wire harness and bed thermistor.
RE: Heatbed temperature error mid-print
Yes, a new print job reported also a mintemp error. I will change the thermistor and install a cable chain. A good amount of my prints are upgrades or fixes for the printers itself 🙄
