Filament stuck in the cold end. HELP

I was replacing the filament in the my Prusa mini when none came out. I decided to use the info from the handbook and take out the PTFE tube but when I pulled out the filament only half came out. I cant pull out the filament because it is completely in the tube.How can I fix this?

RE: Filament stuck in the cold end. HELP

I just came here to post the exact same problem.

The filament is mangled in the PTFE tube and can't be pushed out either end..  The replacement part is cheap but will require expensive shipping and a long lead time..

If anyone knows of a solution, please let us know!

Buy PTFE from another source,
It's not unique to Prusa

@joantabb

The PTFE is not unique to Prusa, but the olives are.  I tried getting just the olives when I needed a new tube, and found that I could only get them in a spares bag, and that it was the same price as buying the whole tube.

If you are in a bind then you can try heating the tube and filament with a heat gun but be very careful as the PTFE has a temp rating of about 250°C I think? I had some ASA stuck in mine and with a little bit of heat it popped out. The PTFE looks okay to me but It's currently in my spare parts bin.
