4.3 Hot End fan RPM slower?
I updated to 4.3 from 4.2.1 and the first thing I noticed was the hot end fan RPM sounded slower. Not only that, but the RPM appeared to fluctuate very slightly continuously.
On 4.2 the fan had a solid constant RPM sound, but with 4.3 it's a slightly lower RPM and the fan sounds like it can't hold a fixed RPM.
I downgraded to 4.2 and the RPM went back to the higher, steady RPM.
I know they introduced a new fan control logic in 4.3 but I don't know how this effects the heat soak in the hot end? I would assume the lower RPM in the new firmware allows more heat to creep back into the Bowden.
I got a clog immediately after I updated to 4.3 so I'm not sure if it's a coincidence or the lower RPM contributed to it.
I needed the prints done so I went back to 4.2 but I might give 4.3 a try again.
RE: 4.3 Hot End fan RPM slower?
Haven't had problems with 4.3 while printing. I also haven't given any thought to fan rpm. If I find my speedometer, I might give it a try. Anyone else noticed this same fan slowdown?
