Which light-weigth GCODE-Viewer?

Hello,

just a Question : Which GCODE-Viewer do you use?

Should not be as big as Prusa's or anything else, or a online-Service.

Intention is to check GCODEs directly from the Explorer...fast..

Greetings,

I prefer NC Viewer for quick checks. It’s lightweight, runs smoothly, and doesn’t require heavy software like PrusaSlicer. You can also try Camotics if you ever need toolpath simulation.

NC Viewer is online, and it doesn't appear to support bgcode.  Any locally-hosted tools that support bgcode available besides PS?  Not that PS is a problem if your PC is sufficiently fast - it has great previewing capabilities.

Not completely relevant here, but for Win11 there is a MS published toolkit called PowerToys (find it on the MS Store). One of the (many) features is additional thumbnail generators for Windows Explorer. In one of the recent update versions (I forget which one, I currently have v0.95.1) they added reading bgcode to the gcode thumbnail generator. AFAIK these don't fully parse the (b)gcode to generate the thumbnail, but pulls the embedded thumbnail from the (b)gcode the same as the picture on the printer's display (or in OctoPrint, Prusa Connect, etc).

So, not a (b)gcode checker, but can help you identify the right (b)gcode in your folders on Win11.

NC-Viewer is indeed online, but if you go deeper, there are some Versions, but most of them for Purchasing...

I think, my System is ip-to-date, but I am used to preview faster than PS is loading... thats too slow for me...

This is a little bit of personal Feeling, I guess.

I am also using the built-in Windows Photo-Preview than loading something big or even bigger...

But I forgot BCODE, which I also want to preview. So I have to think about this too...

I will also check out PowerToys, which I have already installed, but 0.77, not the actual Version.

I didnt associate them in with my "Problem" previewing (B)GCODE.

Thanx for the Hints...
