Demise of 3D Builder

Unfortunately I discovered today while setting up a new Windows computer that Microsoft has discontinued support for the 3D Builder program and it is no longer available in the store. I have used it for years as a fast way to look at and edit STL files. Does anyone have any ideas for a pay or free program that can substitute? It needs to be a fast loading viewer and have at least minimal editing, measuring and rescaling capability.

Does the old program still run on the new Windows?  If it works you're only missing support.

The old program is not available anymore. That's the problem.

I am a liittle out of date with Windows but I would simply look for old distro's from when it was available and copy it from there - you have already paid for it so there can be no legal issues.

It can be, all depends on what is inside EULA - time to read that wall of text in tiny font 😉

See my GitHub and printables.com for some 3d stuff that you may like.
