Prusament Spool Graph Integration (Inventory Manager?)
Not sure if this has been suggested yet, but would it be nice to have some Prusament integration that you could keep track of which Prusament spools you have in inventory, see their quality graphs and relevant info (Prusament stores them anyway, so why not combine the two), and possibly pair them to a printer so it would deduct the amount of grams/filament/meters off of them after a print has finished/failed. Throw a warning that a spool might run out before a print is finished, etc.
Kind of like the OctoPrint + Spool Manager plugins that they offer.
Is this in the works already and did I just not look well enough, is this that would be useful to keep track of in PrusaConnect, what do y'all think?
RE: Prusament Spool Graph Integration (Inventory Manager?)
nevermind, I see that There was a prototype being worked on according to an older post.
RE:
Hi, thank you for the push, now we got it in the issue tracker. It would be awesome being able to tell the printer to load the filament and instead of prompting for type, connect would send the loaded data. But you know how these things are, the more complex, the more the thing marinates in the backlog. This one is up there with the complexity.
RE: Prusament Spool Graph Integration (Inventory Manager?)
Yeah that would be an even better solution, on top of keeping track of how much prusament you have left on spools, to have the printer skip the prompt and just go based on what's supposed to be loaded., as the data is already stored _somewhere_, I obviously don't know of the specifics, but I could imagine there's some internal API to be able to hook onto.
Prusament Spools with little microchips containing the information soon? 😛
