RE: PrusaLink - Custom Username and Password
use mozilla , no headache all is saved
Every modern browser can remember passwords. That is not a solution. There are loads of reasons to want to be able to set a specific password that have nothing to do with typing in a long cryptic password on the same machine in the same browser day after day. Though, that is likely a significant concern for some users who may not be able to use a password manager for some reason.
RE: PrusaLink - Custom Username and Password
chrome don't save it on local intranet for some reason , Firefox yes, that a solution and yes password are too long then go asking Jo...
RE:
Unfortunately i am not aware of a link that could be generated to auto-fill the username and password. Please prove me wrong. I am all for making this easier, but so far I don't know of an easy enough to implement solution. A custom login dialog seems like the only thing that would have a chance of working.
Using the current release of PrusaLink 0.72 I can use the following link to access the UI without a login prompt (one of the nice features of HTTP auth instead of forms):
http://administrator:[email protected]
This would also work when embedded in a QR code.
RE: PrusaLink - Custom Username and Password
Using the current release of PrusaLink 0.72 I

RE: PrusaLink - Custom Username and Password
This feature needs to be added (*push*)
RE: PrusaLink - Custom Username and Password
A partial workaround to get the password saved in Chrome: go to the password manager and add the URL and credentials manually. Not perfect since every session there will be a popup with the credentials asking you to click to log in, but at least better than having to copy and paste the password from a textfile every session.
RE: PrusaLink - Custom Username and Password
I added my username and password to LastPass - problem solved
RE: PrusaLink - Custom Username and Password
And the main reason I wanted to use this was to monitor from my phone... and I don't have Firefox on my phone...

RE: PrusaLink - Custom Username and Password
Custom passwords yes, but to secure standards.
RE: PrusaLink - Custom Username and Password
We are in 2025 and the ability of using custom password is still not added. This is really disappointing - Prusa do better! Without this whole PrusaLink is just a waste of time...
RE: PrusaLink - Custom Username and Password
@echo off
start chrome http://<IP>
echo <Passwort> | clip
Chrome starten und mit dem Drucker über die IP verbinden, den Benutzer 'maker' bekomme ich gerade noch hin und das Passwort ist im Speicher -> einfach einfügen.

This is still an issue. This is still unfixed. This is still unacceptable.
