PrusaLink API for Set Ready

Hello,

I have an MK4S setup with PrusaConnect, and I am working on a connected physical button to set the printer as ready.

I believe there is an entry in the PrusaConnect API to set a printer to ready, although I haven't tried it yet, but I didn't find anything for the PrusaLink intergated in the ESP32 of the printer. Did I miss something? If not Is there a plan to include it?

Allowing PrusaLink to have it would make it so that it would work if internet is down.

Thank you

RE: PrusaLink API for Set Ready

Last time when I checked Prusa Link it was not there. The fastest way to get printer ready was to to power cycle it via smart power plug (10s cutoff due to accumulated energy in the power supply).

See my GitHub and printables.com for some 3d stuff that you may like.

RE: PrusaLink API for Set Ready

The PrusaLink API (as of March 2025, v0.7.2, firmware v5.2.0) does not have a “set ready” endpoint to set the MK4S to the “ready” (IDLE) state, as confirmed by the Prusa forum (). The PrusaConnect API likely includes this (e.g., /api/v1/printers/{id}/state), but it requires internet, conflicting with your offline goal. No official plans exist to add this to PrusaLink, though community demand could prompt future inclusion (e.g., v0.8.0).
