Maintenance reminder feature

I suggest that Prusa makes a simple maintenance reminder feature in either the firmware or in PrusaConnect where it notifies you as a user when it is time for maintenance. The intervals are already defined in this article: https://help.prusa3d.com/article/regular-printer-maintenance-xl_401237

So, Prusa just have to make simple triggers based on either days passed or print hours passed since the last maintenance done. Then I as a user can check off when I have done the maintenance, and the counters would reset. If the counters were visible in PrusaConnect or on the printer UI, I could also check once-in-a-while to see if maintenance is coming up soon.

This would greatly increase the likelihood that I as user will perform the maintenance in time before I run in to problems. It is especially useful if you use the printers in a setting like a company where there are many printers and user.

At my work we have MarkForged printers where they have a maintenance schedule utility for this: https://support.markforged.com/portal/s/article/Maintenance-Schedule-Utility

RE: Maintenance reminder feature

That would indeed a very useful feature.

Alas, there's no evidence that anyone at Prusa reads anything posted here, so I would suggest to post this as a new suggestion on the Prusa Github site (but you should first check that this hasn't been suggested before) and/or use the feedback button in PrusaConnect.

RE:

I got a warning on my Prusa XL to change the enclosure filter.  So it may also notify you when the bearings need greased as it tracks the distance traveled.

if the printer is in an error state before a print starts you should get a flag on Prusa link.

For the MK4 I've never gotten any warning, but the fact that I did on the XL seems like it's very doable on the other buddy board printers.

RE: Maintenance reminder feature

Alas, I discovered I was WAY over the maintenance interval for greasing the bearings on my XL and never received any notification.

Well at least we know the capability is there.  Maybe the OP can put it on git hub.

RE: Maintenance reminder feature

I have made a feature request now in Github. I put it under the Prusa Buddy firmware:
