Feature request: Filament management in PrusaConnect
Hi everyone, I'm new to the forum and have been trying out PrusaConnect for a few weeks now. I noticed something that I think would be great to implement.
I would find it very nice if there was some kind of filament management in Prusa Connect.
My idea:
You can store about 5 or more filaments with name, color, material and weight in PrusaConnect and every time you change the filament you can select which filament is stored. When you print something, the used material (weight) is automatically deducted from the selected filament, so you can also see how much filament is left on a roll.
I hope you understand what I mean, otherwise I can explain it in more detail.
When it matters most people find it easier to weigh the spool.

I agree, I find it easier to trust what the scale is showing me than what's on the screen, as it would be easy to forget to select the correct filament.

Octoprint has a similar feature , "Spool Manager" as i can`t put out and weight always 5 spools with the MMU , so i am thinking of changing back to Octoprint from PrusaConnect , as it doesn`t have this feature

I also would like to have this implemented in Prusa connect! At the moment I use Spoolman together with Octoprint. This works perfect! If I get the CoreOne I would like to change to Prusa Connect, but without a proper spool management I am hesitating with the switch to Prusa connect.

I Think something is in preparation.
in Connect there is a little g after PLA at the filament selection.
Maybe its a hint, that there will follow a management of the used filament weight.....
let's hope that there will be an announcement...
