Retrieve amount of printing hours per printer API

Hi,

For a local dashboard i'm building I would like to be able to retrieve the total printing hours that the printer has performed, in order to be able to do some more targeted maintenance and tracking thereof.

Does anyone have any suggestions or leads on where to look, or if this is possible to begin with?
I've been looking around and ended up at for example the Connect Mobile API or the Prusa Link Web github repo but then cannot find anything related to "printing hours" or "hours" or "time" that's not transfer-time for example.

I have a prusa core one

at day time i want it to be bright

at night time i want to dim it down

at bed time i want it to be completely off since its sitting in my bedroom

for now i have to do everything on the little LCD screen on the machine. Can admin add the feature to control the back light & color LED light in the PRUSA APP? Able to set the % and ON/OFF will be great. Adding day / night mode will be even better.

Feature: Rearrange the order of the print queue from Prusa Connect mobile app

Currently I am not able to change the order of the print queue from my prusa connect app. I can add items to the queue but I can't change the order. This is really disruptive to my flow as my printers aren't next to my computer. I am using my mobile app when I am next to the printers.

Feature: auto-clean delete Prusa Connect Files

Hey,

I recently run into the Issue that i couldn't upload print files though Prusa Connect because the Cloud Space was full.

Then I noticed that there where a decent amount of files saved, that wehre blocking the space.

Shouldn't those files be deleted after a successful download to the Printer?

I would like to be able to see from Prusa Connect how many hours/how much filament I have ran through each machine without having to manually go check each device. Please add these metrics to statistics, telemetry, or settings page.

Feature: Add camera feed to queue view of printers page

Currently only the table view of the printers page allows you to see the camera feed. I much prefer the queue view where I can see the queues for all my printers but I also want to be able to see what is currently happening with the printers via their camera updates. Unfortunately each of these features are locked to separate views currently. Please add the camera feed to the the queue view.

Build Plate Checker with AprilTags for PrusaConnect (Open Source)

Hi everyone,

I built a small open-source tool to solve a problem I kept running into: starting a print with the wrong build plate.

This script connects to PrusaConnect and uses a camera + AprilTags on your sheets to verify the plate before printing. When a job starts, the printer pauses, the script checks the tag, and only resumes if it matches what the G-code expects.

If it doesn’t match (or you just want to ignore it), you can still resume manually on the printer or in PrusaConnect.

How it works (short version)

Add a small AprilTag to each build plate
Add a line in your Start G-code defining allowed plates
Run the script. It monitors jobs and handles the check automatically. The script only connects to PrusaConnect and does not need to be able to talk to your printer.

It basically acts as a "sanity check" before printing. For me it is especially useful if I switch between PLA/PETG/TPU.

(Unfortunately, for xBuddy boards M117 or M0 messages are not (yet?) shown in Connect.)

New feature request set a start print schedule (range)

I have just started using Prusa Connect at my work, and I am loving the queue system. I can drop all my prints in the queue, duplicate them properly, and not worry about over- or under-printing the quantities. The Issue is that the estimated Print ending time is always wrong because I can not start a print at 1:00 or 2:00 am. Since I am sometimes setting up 10-15 prints at a time, setting each print to a schedule is terrible. If we could set a time range, say 7:00 am-4:00 pm Mon-Fri, Connect will push the start time estimate until it is within that range. I think the print end estimate would be much better, and all of us could plan out the schedule better. Any thoughts? Does this already exist somewhere, and I missed it?

Prusa Connect Notifications - Customizations

I looked around and I couldn't find anything on this topic so I figured I'd ask. Is anyone aware of a way to customize the notifications from Prusa Connect?

For instance I have Notifications set up to send to my Discord server which works great. What I have an issue with is the messages that are sent. For instance when I start a print job the notification that I receive is:

"Printer Name: Printer requires your attention. Check it personally to make sure everything is in order."

When the print job finishes the notificaiton that I receive is:

"Printer Name: Print Job "file" was finished. Remove the printout from the printer and prepare the printer for the next print job."

If I stop the printer the notification that I receive is:

"Printer Name: Print Job "file" was stopped. Remove the printout from the printer and prepare the printer for the next print job."

What would be nice is if the notification when I started a print would say that the Print Job "file" was started instead of what it currently says. Also, maybe color code Started, Stopped, & Finished. Shouldn't be too hard to allow this... afterall some of the information is color coded such as "Printer Name" and "File name".

Maybe have a configuration file for Notifications that has the phrase you want sent and any specific formatting (bold, italic, etc, color, variables added in.

Delete file after printing when uploading to Prusa Connect?

I want to propose a "Delete file after printing is finished" option that we can enable when uploading from Prusa Slicer. Either it deletes from both on Connect and the printer, or let us select from which to delete.

The majority of files I upload and print for any design are tests that I don't want to keep long term. Even with small projects I always find myself in the process of selecting a page or so worth of test pieces both Connect Files and then on Printer Files tab and deleting them. It's honestly a bit of a hassle to maintain a clean environment and I don't think it needs to be!
