USB Jack is broken

Somehow, I mangled the USB Jack on the Prusa Mini, soldered to the Buddy board.  I am trying to track down a replacment jack that I can solder in place.  The pin-out on the existing jack is on the side of the jack and in a 4 -pin square formation. Most of the jacks I can find are 4 pins in a straight line.

Any thoughts on where I can find a part number for this jack or the jack itself?

Wow, that is the jack and yes, there are 4 pins to the rear of the assembly but its not clear that they are part of it.  I didn't want to remove it till I get a replacement so I can see what I am dealing with.  At those prices, I could just buy the clone module and steal the jack or even give the clone a try.

Thank you!

No worries.

I did search the usual sites like digikey, farnell, rs and mouser to no avail

JLC PCB have a few options but you would need to clip off the third mounting lug in the middle.

They have a few different versions of this in different colours such as

https://jlcpcb.com/partdetail/2892458-906562A1118D10200/C2763246

They may have an exact match but their search is all but useless and there are 241 pages to go through.

Got excellent response by PRUSA support staff, including this link.  Enjoy

Prusa will never fall foul of right to repair laws should they arrive. Such a breath of fresh air.

I got into electronics at a very young age in the 80s. Things then were almost always well documented. It was often easier to get service manuals back then than it is now with the internet. Components were easy to come by and not restricted. How things have changed.
