RE: Unofficial Prusa Mini Wait Thread
For the United States, the shipping time can vary from about 3 days to 14 days. It depends on how quickly the package makes it through customs, room on the plane for the package, what day it was shipped on, and who the last mile carrier is for the actual deliver. If shipped late in the week, it is possible for the package to sit in customs over the weekend on one or both ends if you are really unlucky.
Once you get the shipping information you can request a vacation hold or pick up from their location. This may depend on who does the actual delivery. For me it has been USPS instead of DHL.
Thank you for the information, I am using DHL. Looks like unless it ships right on the 29th (not holding my breath) I'll have to have a neighbor get it for me.
RE: Unofficial Prusa Mini Wait Thread
Are there any signs if they started shipping again?
Back to the intended topic! I feel like we're in a long line (queue) for a new movie, but the end of the line snakes around a couple corners. The line was moving briefly, but now it's held up & we're all asking for news of what's happening up front. Some opt to get out of line & go see a popular movie that's been out a while. Some give up & go home. Some stand around & complain about the theater & the film industry. The rest take it as it comes, with much anticipation.
Whatever you find to do with your hands, do with all your might!

☹️ that looks like an even longer delivery time
RE: Unofficial Prusa Mini Wait Thread
I will correct my answer. It does not appear that they have started again.

I would assume that since the R2 parts have been posted on github yesterday the print farm at PR is making the new parts and shipments should resume soon
Mini with FW:4.4.1 + SuperPINDA + Bondtech Heatbreak + PC4-M8 couplers + 1 piece boden
RE: Unofficial Prusa Mini Wait Thread
first preorder options for mini parts are availible on aliexpress since yesterday.
45 bucks for the complete hotend with aluminium heatsink, thermistor, heater cartridge etc
75 bucks for the 3030 extrusions, y carriage and the reinforcement plate for z axis. but in "tuning" colorized.
smooth rods kit also availible
i realy would prefer in general non printed parts kits from prusa for mk3, and a kit version of the mini. would realy like this options

RE: Unofficial Prusa Mini Wait Thread
non "tuning" frame parts a little bit cheaper:
"tuning" frame parts:
heated mini bed:
hotend assembly:
just rods ( 8 and 10 mm)
also availible is for 39 bucks the PSU, but i would not trust them. i would go for original meanwhile from non china source for that.
no buddy board and no displays at thre moment in china. display will take long i think. prusa did not put anything on github about the lcd. tryied to hunt down the panel, it is very uncommon wit 14 pins only. no more clue where to look for it. looks like a custom specification, there are simular panels with touch, but more pins. prusas/ldo lcd looks like this one without touch option. but this is nohere "in the wild"
RE: Unofficial Prusa Mini Wait Thread
If there haven't been any shipments, either confirmed, or unconfirmed, then the new Mini shipping table is surely already out of date......
RE: Unofficial Prusa Mini Wait Thread
I think the Ali options are going to run a bit more expensive than the real thing.

For the moment, yes. But much cheaper than prusa spare parts. Will sureley get cheaper when there are more than only one who sells the parts on ali.

Fast moves from China. The thing is that like you say you don't trust them with the PSU I think I would not trust them with the metal parts either. Yeah I know that the hardware has less impact but adds to the overall performance. For example I would certainly not trust the metal of the heat-sink and nozzle. I have seen some really nasty stuff when it comes to suppliers in China.
Nevertheless I also like the idea that it is open source and you could built it from scratch so conveniently!

RE: Unofficial Prusa Mini Wait Thread
trianglelab and fsytec are good clone builders, the metal parts are absolute fine and trianglelab uses LDO stepper motors (prusa too). so there is no doubt in quality and precision. but yes, i wouldn't trust the PSU and leave such a printer alone. i would use an brand i know and from a safe source.
and here i found the extruder gears. way too expensive, for the moment. but trust me, price will fall.
please prusa, offer at least a kit version of the mini like mk series, or even better a kit verdsion without plastics! i would definitive order more original prusas in this case!

Yeah, I was expecting the wait. Just trying to figure out the length of time from being marked "shipped" to it actually being delivered on my doorstep.
Not overly concerned on it shipping on the 29th, just more with the length of time for shipping. Need to figure out if I need to have one of my neighbors grab it for me if I'm on vacation and which one I should have grab it.
We have a bit of a run of porch piracy going on near here...

While customs can always mess things up I have ordered 8 printers and several other things from Prusa and shipping is 2-3 days to US East Coast.

@nathanwms
I don’t bother with anything other than the First Layer Cal. Live Z. Just print and enjoy!
Most people calibrate their profiles on non-prusa’s because of subtle manufacturing differences and crappy included profiles. The Mini has great consistency and good out of the box profiles.

3 days isn't too bad... now, the question is it sometime after January 29th for shipping, or will it be after February 29th? 🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣

Oh it will definitely be January 29th, just January 2021. 🤣 🤣 🤣 I have always preferred to laugh at my misery instead of letting it get me down.
