RE: Unofficial Prusa Mini Wait Thread
@equidamoid
There'd been an update on shipping table. Not looking optimistic 😢
https://help.prusa3d.com/en/article/shipping-information_2297/
As the Original Prusa MINI queue of orders is massive, most orders will be shipped through February to July 2020, expect some heavy lead times. New orders to be shipped in August 2020.
RE: Unofficial Prusa Mini Wait Thread
Fun fact: shop.prusa3d.com uses that weird date format in the order page where "01/11/2020" means 11th of January, not October 1st (I already forgot when I ordered it).
Thanks guys for adding order numbers to the spreadsheet! Now I know I shouldn't expect the printer in the observable future 🙁
It's only weird in some countries. There's actually an ISO standard for date formats in different countries:

@matteo-cristini
Congratulations & thank you for not forgetting those of us who are still waiting. Now you can go post on the other threads in the Mini forum where you can share your experience & ask puzzling questions.

RE: Unofficial Prusa Mini Wait Thread
Thank you all guys 😍 a few more prints for you:
Nut and bolt printed at 50% scale. Perfect fit!
A tiny lithophane that came out great, I'd say!
A vase for my spiky friend...
It's a ghost!
Don't worry, I was not printing! It's there only as a dust cover 🙂
I had my first "jam" today, too! A piece of filament was stuck inside the bowden tube and it wouldn't load any farther. Took like five minutes to fix, so not a big deal. The print quality has been great so far and I always get super-smooth first layers.
I tought it was gonna be quieter though, maybe it's my table's fault.

But sadly they didn't update the "Estimates Shipping Table for Original Prusa MINI" (just the first two sections). It's last update is still from March 17th 🙁
I know updates don't make my Mini come faster... but I'm addicted to checking the Shipping Table 😀
RE: Unofficial Prusa Mini Wait Thread
By the way, my flash drive came with 4.0.4, but I'm using the latest firmware, 4.0.5. Only issue I've noticed is that sometimes the filament fails to load but the printer procedes to purge it anyways, which requires me to load it again.
RE: Unofficial Prusa Mini Wait Thread
@matteo-cristini
Congratulations. 😉
Finally you made it.
I need to wait another 2 weeks, maybe more according to the current situation.

I saw that you performed some initial tests before firing it up? What checks did you do? I am trying to see what tests to perform as soon as it arrives.
Original Prusa Mini + Smooth PEI
Prusa Slicer 2.6.0

Another update of the shipping table. Another 2 weeks. But I already know its going take more than that. Why dont they just say that we do not know when we will be able to ship and let it be a surprise. 😛

RE: Unofficial Prusa Mini Wait Thread
There was one order from 28th10 marked as shipped in our spreadsheet yesterday.
There were five orders marked as delivered.
I have come here to chew bubblegum and perfect my MINI ... and I'm all out of bubblegum.

So here's what I did:
1. Assembled everything as showed by the manual
2. Raised the hotend (I can describe the procedure in more detail if you guys are interested)
3. Adjusted the Minda's height with the credit card method
4. Moved the printer to its final destination
5. Put a 5mm riser under the electronics box's foot because by eyeballing it looked a little low
6. Tightened the idler's screw until it was flush with the extruder mount
7. Flashed 4.0.5 rigth away
8. Did the first layer calibration three times to make sure it was spot on
9. Proceeded to print a benchy
Also, this is the procedure I'm following when starting a new print:
1. Turn on from cold
2. Wipe the bed with IPA
3. Preheat with PLA presets
4. Load the filament (it's a little finicky, you really have to push it through)
5. Start the print
6. 4x4 Mesh bed levelling at 170 degrees
7. Print
8. Success!
So yeah, pretty standard procedure here.
RE: Unofficial Prusa Mini Wait Thread
Also, when the filament fails to load:
- If it did not go past the extruder gear, I simply do the loading procedure from the filament menu again
- If it did, but it did not reach the nozzle, you can just tell it to purge until it finally starts coming out
If it fails to load in a mid-print filament change, in the tune menu there's the option to pause and load it again, so no problems here as well.
RE: Unofficial Prusa Mini Wait Thread
Oh, one last thing: I've only printed with prusament so far, at the stock 215/60 temperatures. I haven't touched anything in the slicer, I've only played a little bit with the infill patterns.

@matteo-cristini
Love the Lithophane Is it a picture that you converted?
All your filament are belong to us!
RE: Unofficial Prusa Mini Wait Thread
@frankincell
Yes! It was printed parallel to the Y axis at .10 if I remember correctly and it measures 50x47 mm
This is the original picture...
...and it was taken here.
