RE: Unofficial Prusa Mini Wait Thread
@texy
Sadly it disabled the DHCP for the LAN port (its a reported bug) so anyone who was using the basic information on the web portal its gone in this particular build.
You mean the LAN port that hasn't been released yet (the hardware option). I'll be using a Pi when my Mini eventually arrives anyway.
I still say that there are more pluses than minuses with the RC release than previously supplied versions for 99% of the users.

@texy
The LAN port is on the Printer, the WLAN (Wireless) is not available yet.
Also currently rpi (OctoPrint) does not function properly, once you can finally get octoprint to see the printer, it still sends weird information and does not have a configuration option for origin point being in the bottom right rather than bottom left. as this printer requires.

My apologies - you are right. Hopefully it'll get sorted by the time I get mine.
Although octoprint has been reported as working in this thread :
Is this no longer the case?

Even if we are getting off topic, OctoPrint still works with the new firmware, as it did with 4.0.1.

All but one of the shipped/delivered orders for the 14th came after my order.,, un-cool.
RE: Unofficial Prusa Mini Wait Thread
@strankler
can you post over on the Octoprint thread, what your settings are, everytime i try to print from Octoprint it tries to print 1mm up in the air and refuses to work properly.

@milehigh3der
They could have held your whole order for the item that did not ship.

I feel your pain. I've also ordered on the 14th and all except three shipped/delivered are after my order.
Didn't someone said that PR is eager to send out orders in the order they were made? Sure doesn't look that way.
And before anyone jumps out about different configurations ... some of the shipped/delivered orders are the same as mine.

I hope its ok to post porn here 😉

Slower you s***! 😆
Gratz on mini, hope it serves you well.
RE: Unofficial Prusa Mini Wait Thread
Ok. I had a week of frustration with my inability to get PETG to stick to my print bed. It would not stick on TXT for smooth. Then I figured it out. Stupid mistake - printing PETG with PLA settings will not stick.

RE: Unofficial Prusa Mini Wait Thread
If anything, it seems like they are shipping later 14OCT orders than earlier ones. Bed, sensor, and filament doesn't seem to have an effect, neither does country. Of course, I'm travelling next week for work, so I have to have my MIL sit at my house to sign for it. Assuming it comes next week. I don't know what percentage of orders are represented by the table. Maybe half? If so they are getting 5-10 out a day. That isn't a business.
I've definitely learned for the XL, if I buy one (large and bed adhesion scare me on getting succesful prints), you might as well wait till the start to ship. There is invariably an R2 that follows pretty fast and while you'll wait, you'll probably be waiting just as long- and have better vision as to when you'll get it.
Prusa says that they are adding people all the time, I think it is time to add some real CS people if they are going to underperform like this. Two months late now?
RE: Unofficial Prusa Mini Wait Thread
@milehigh3der
Unfortunately only two months late would be quite an improvement for Prusa. They always seem to be hopelessly optimistic in production and shipping estimates. Note on the webshop states in stock items ship in 2 days? Ordered three rolls of in stock filament that took almost two months to ship.
RE: Unofficial Prusa Mini Wait Thread
There were two reported shippings yesterday (in our spreadsheet)
I have come here to chew bubblegum and perfect my MINI ... and I'm all out of bubblegum.
RE: Unofficial Prusa Mini Wait Thread
They'd taken orders for around 8,000 mini's by Jan 13th. The spreadsheet is a tiny percentage of that and cannot be used to accurately determine anything at all.
RE: Unofficial Prusa Mini Wait Thread
@highrock
Depends on what you mean by accurately. The ratio of ordered vs shipped/delivered is probably pretty accurate. Biggest source of error is probably the fact that not everyone is going to update the spreadsheet once their printer is shipped. But it doesn't have to be inaccurate just because it's a fraction of the total.
Up until the Jan 13th there's 543 orders in the spreadsheet, which (if that 8000 figure is correct) makes up ~6.8% of total orders. That means Prusa should now be at around 8200 total orders, of which at least around 2500 should have been shipped. Could be even more than that depending on the number of people not bothering to update the sheet.
Would have been fun to find out how accurate those numbers actually are 🙂
RE: Unofficial Prusa Mini Wait Thread
In the community document ( https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1cEUO-8AQevqBbD37C25bSPWbb3Lpk6q_-WZuZ0HOIOY/edit#gid=0 ) shouldn't the column header say 'last 6 digits order' (currently says 5 digits) ?
RE: Unofficial Prusa Mini Wait Thread
The percentage will vary. It's close to 100% at start (as only MINIs were ordered mostly in that short peak), but then it drops dramatically as not only MINIs were ordered.
