RE: Welcome to our new forum! Feedback here!

Oh man. This is actually worse on my phone (Pixel 3xl)!

That header needs to disappear after you've logged in .On my work desktop with a protrait monitor it was annoying, on my phone (and now I assume my 13" laptop) it is obnoxious that I have to scroll over a full screen to get past it.

There appears to be no difference from how the site appeared on my desktop. The result is that it rather painful to accurately navigate with my fingers .

The file is still there, you just need to move your mouse around until you find the link and then right click to download the file.

It shows as a missing preview icon I think.

Certainly not good and I hope they are able to fix it so you don't have to do that.

How do I unsubscribe?  Due to the security flaws that are already being noticed, and the fact the store and public forums are now mixed (without being asked if they be merged), I am not comfortable dangling my privates out there on a now non-secured forum (was burnt once upon a time due to this sort of thing).

Every time I log in, I get the Polish version, I then have to click on the English button to get the language I require.

I am nearing my frustration limit they have moved from an easy to use and navigate forum software to this... as much I enjoy helping others here this software makes it not worth the effort...

I will check back in a week to see if things have improved but for now I am out of here

I have to agree; they should have gone with a dedicated forum package rather than a plugin built on top of wordpress... personally I'd have gone with xenforo but I'm biased having seen the headache that was vbulletin and the relative ease which I've customized and maintained an XF install.

RE: Welcome to our new forum! Feedback here!

This new forum is so loaded with defects I have no clue where to begin.

I log in (when it lets me, 8 out of 10 attempts fail for password doesn't match user, I am dropped into the Czech forums, and have to find my way to the English forum: clicking English at the top doesn't always work: almost like there is a random destination generator like Google Search has.

As a guest, clicking on a thread takes mt to the latest post; as a member it drops my at the first post, even though I've read the thread in a prior login.

There is this P in the text box taking up space, no clue what it does, but I am constantly drawn to it thinking I miss-typed something.

Lack of photo upload makes any chance of helping others a futile waste of my time.  I wonder if Prusa will notice an increase in support calls - though their support system is sketchy enough I suspect many users never try or give up trying to contact them.  Moderators will be overwhelmed ... except for my next item:

As of this morning, I still can't create a new thread/topic.  If a person with 1200 plus posts and replies can't originate a thread, it stands to reason a new member, one who needs help, can't ask a question.  That is almost laughable.  Whoever at Prusa that thought this up should be on probation at this point.  There is NO business reason to disrupt a functioning customer support system that was working as well as the old forum seemed to be working unless an adequate and functional replacement was available.  And this new forum is NOT a functional replacement.

Though, I've seen stupid decisions win over sound business for stupid reasons; Prusa doesn't have a monopoly.  My hope is someone at Prusa is smarter than this and fixes it.  Like a couple others, I'll come back in a week or three and if things are back to normal consider returning as an active user.

ps: and did I mention the time between <post> and seeing the annoying and useless green or red flag in the upper right corner of the screen - for me - is always more than 30 seconds?

I think my #1 issue at this point is that over 24 hours after starting these two "Look at our new awesome stuff" threads, Prusa hasn't come back to acknowledge (much less address) the complaints.

I for one bought my printer based on the forum existing and being active meaning that I could easily find help. The lack of a good forum the last 2 days has been a very bad experience and I'm afraid if things are addressed soon there may be long lasting damage to the community.

Well I was gonna post a screen shot of the header but that's nearly impossible now so....  Look at the section header just below the page header and you should see "My Profile".

Well, there is some response to some of the issues in these two threads on the update to the blog post. But I agree that it would be nice if someone collected the complaints into a list of bullet points and had at least a quick response along the lines of "looking into it", "working to implement", or "not gonna happen even in your wildest dreams". We might not like the answer, but at least an answer is better than none.

That said, maybe we all are being too impatient. Some of these things probably need forms filled out in triplicate, meetings held on the color of ink to use on the forms, etc. before a decision can be publicly announced. 😜

+1  Using this site is just too painful and I see no progress at all in fixing it.  Like Randolf, I'm going take a break from the site for awhile.

If Prusa's goal was ot reduce forum traffic, they may have succeeded!

If these were user created threads I could accept that. Since they started them, however, they need to be active here.

Further that update only covers some concerns/issues with the blog and print area. While those are definitely major issues that demanded a response, they are mum on the impact they have had on the main connection to the community.

I agree sometimes things just take time to shake out and I tend to give companies a lot of benefit of the doubt. My requirement, however, is that they communicate what is going on and Prusa has shown to have serious communication issues when things aren't going as planned (PC sheets, MMU, SL1, etc..).

I think everyone is getting a little too emotional. Sure there are problems but I see things are happening in the background and probably resolving some of the issues as we type.

BTW The p in the type box is the HTML format code p=paragraph which changes depending on the format

Guys, just keep in mind that checking for reported issues, development, QA tests before launch any fixes/updates takes time!

I'm pretty sure PR is reading all the complains and trying their best to make improvements. But it takes time. This thread is only 48 hours old. Means most likely only one work day has passed. Complains about no response/resolution to the raised points is way too early.
