Prusa mini belt noise
Hi everyone, The X axis of my Prusa mini makes a very annoying noise when printing. I uploaded a video to YouTube to highlight the problem. The tension of the belt is ok, I also tried to loosen them a little but without success. In the orange piece that supports the engine there are also traces of black rubber from the belt due to rubbing.
At this link the video:
Can anyone help me solve the problem? I don't know how to proceed anymore. Despite this, the print quality is excellent.
RE: Prusa mini belt noise
Make sure the belt is installed correctly, that its inserted all the way in the groove in the hotend and the gear on the motor shaft is installed correctly. (Look at the gap and check the screws, Steps 18 & 21 of the X-Axis assembl guide. 3. X-axis & Extruder assembly | Prusa Knowledge Base (prusa3d.com)). You could also check the belt tension - if its loose it gets "picked up" by the motor during movements, causing it to vibrate and rub against the motor housing.
