Prusa Desk Lamp?
Hey guys, I got my Mini+ yesterday. It works well, but I was amazed to see how well my LED Desk Lamp compliments the setup:
It illuminates the printer perfectly so you can see what's going on. If you're interested, here's the Amazon link:

Nice! It is not too dissimilar from the LED light options for a mini. I just ordered one of these LED lamps from AMAZON USA. Thanks for the inspiration. It is a cheaper option.

I did superglue 1$/pc 8led WS2812B ring onto my 3$ Raspberry v1 camera clone:
That little led ring is more than bright enough to light the MINI+ even from distance.
This photo was taken in completely dark room, after pressing "torch" button in OctoPrint (turning on all 8 leds in white).
The camera is on top of >30cm high 3Dprinted OctoPi holder:

I added a borescope nozzle cam to my MINI+, and OctoPrint allows to switch which camera view is displayed under Control tab with buttons bottom right (borescope nozzle camera has its own led lights):

Hello. Sorry for bumping the thread. Did the cheap LED do the job or is the lamp a better way to do it.
RE: Prusa Desk Lamp?
Addressable LEDs like Neopixels are certainly cheaper than a lamp from the store, but you have to do some research first to make them work for you. The Neopixel LEDs are available in many forms and sizes (rings, strips etc.). As for attaching them to your printer, you can find many printable LED attachments for your printer type, e.g. on Printables. Then you need a power supply for your type of LEDs, they are available for different supply voltages, 5V, 12V, 24V. Controlling them is another task, you will need some kind of controller solution, like an ESP board with WLED firmware, or a Raspberry Pi with OctoPrint as in the post above yours. It all depends on if you enjoy tinkering with electronics or not. 🙂

My wife got me a lamp from https://www.sunmory.com/ . It's too fancy, but does the job well.
