High value of Z
On my Prusa Mini, I am experiencing a very high value of Z resulting from calibration: for PLA it is -1.77 and for Flex I need Z=-2.00, that is the maximum achievable. With these values I get excellent adhesion.
My question is: there is something in the factory calibration of my machine that should be adjusted? I would expect from home calibration values of Z very close to zero.
Thank you very much for your help!
RE: High value of Z
I suspect your Pinda sensor, is too low,
first of all reset your Live Z to 0.00mm
then re adjust your pinda probe, a little higher, the screw thread is 1mm pitch, so if you slacken the pinda probe clamp and raise the probe 1 click, that should reduce the required live Z value by approximately 1m. You may wish to confirm this using the approved method..

then re run the First layer calibration test to ensure satisfactory operation

RE: High value of Z
Thank you very much, Joan, for your sweep and complete answer! I will adjust the sensor height later today!

RE:
But first check if your X axis is not twisted, because it can easily twist due to prints for weeks or accidental patting the printer with a hand. As a result the X axis gets twisted counter clockwise (looking from the side of the free end of the X), and thus the print head is shifted up and skewed.
Just follow the quick squaring of the printer to fix it.

Then check if the PINDA sensor is not too high and adjust it if needed.
