RE: 4.3.0-RC1 Firmware for Original Prusa MINI/MINI+ IS OUT
@cece
Great to hear it helped. Thanks for reporting it. Appreciated!
RE: 4.3.0-RC1 Firmware for Original Prusa MINI/MINI+ IS OUT
What about the Power Panic function. This has been promised since the beginning and is still not available as far as I know.
RE: 4.3.0-RC1 Firmware for Original Prusa MINI/MINI+ IS OUT
There's request/issue about that in github. It is likely coming, but who knows when. Personally I would like to see more features in the printer itself, like OTA updates, Prusa Connect in state that it can be actually used for something and so on.

Any ideas?

Mor info and dump would be needed.

@zoltan
It's a mini, using the new prusa slicer 2.3.0 + win64.
This is the object I have been trying to print:
https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:18218
Also, I just downgraded my firmware and it faults there too. This is with PLA, with retraction turned on (all defaults) 0.20mm quality settings.
RE: 4.3.0-RC1 Firmware for Original Prusa MINI/MINI+ IS OUT
Also, what kind of dump are you looking for? Will that show up on the USB?
RE: 4.3.0-RC1 Firmware for Original Prusa MINI/MINI+ IS OUT
@nosam
Do you remember how far the print goes before it crashes? I'm printing the same just for a reference. PETG, sliced with Prusaslicer 2.3.0 rc2, firmware 4.3.0 rc!? Draft-mode in use. I also changed infill to 10% and gyroid as the infill form. Now 35% printed, no problems so far.
RE: 4.3.0-RC1 Firmware for Original Prusa MINI/MINI+ IS OUT
@nosam
My Mini has finished printing. 100% size, took about 6h 15 minutes or so. Compared to this video , I got much nicer result. No seam changes visible, at least not that bad. Most notable defect is some hair like -stringing in few places. Easily removed (hot air gun).
Naturally there are differences, your settings are different than mine, and I sliced it differently. Your crash can partly be even slicer's fault if it generates really weird code which the firmware coders weren't expecting.
RE: 4.3.0-RC1 Firmware for Original Prusa MINI/MINI+ IS OUT
@nosam
To get the crash dump, follow the addvice in 4.3.0rc1 release (don't know if it works in previeou: "To download the Crash Dump file, insert a USB drive into the printer first and then head to “Settings -> Save Crash Dump”.s firmware)"
You'll get file "dump.bin" on the USB drive.

@lupin
I used Quality 20 mm, at 30% fill. I got up to maybe 1/4 inch of the talons showing on the log.

@nosam
I would need you to provide more detailed info:
- FW version you are using
- exact description what happened
- what screen did you encounter
- if you can replicate the issue post the display photo
- did it happen only once or several times?

RE: 4.3.0-RC1 Firmware for Original Prusa MINI/MINI+ IS OUT
@nosam & @zoltan
I printed the same successfully again, bit differently:
- Prusament PETG Carmine Red
- Mini with SuperMinda, Firmware 4.3.0rc1, textured sheet
- Slicer PrusaSlicer 2.3.0
- Mode: 0.2 Quality
- Other settings: Avoid crossing perimeters, print infill only when needed, infil 10%, gyroid
- Scaled down to 50% size (didn't want to waste time and filament).
Effortless. Sliced the model, exported to original USB-drive. Inserted USB-drive to Printer, Switched printer on, chose print and the owl was the first one offered so just selected it. I left the printer and just fetched nice looking owl few hours later (estimated printing time was just shy two hours).
I don't have PLA to try this with, but then again I don't think the filament is the reason for your crash. If you can, provide zoltan with the requested info, and after crash save the dump file and give that to Zoltan too.
My reference prints prove only that it is possible to print that owl. Reason for your crash can be some little detail, and it is very hard to say what's wrong. Can be software fault, but can be also hardware fault. So I suggest you try to gather all the info and provide the data to Zoltan (=Prusa).
Also additional information could be: what's the ambient temperature while the print is going on? Any sudden bursts of heat or cold? is the electricity reliable, no brownouts or breaks?
I really hoped I could have helped you more, but it seems I only proved that it can be done with Mini.
RE: 4.3.0-RC1 Firmware for Original Prusa MINI/MINI+ IS OUT
@lupin
It seems like what I should do is actually send the g-code and see what how you guys do with that.
RE: 4.3.0-RC1 Firmware for Original Prusa MINI/MINI+ IS OUT
The problem appears to be the Thumb Drive that came with the mini. I am using this new one, and I am no longer failing. It's not complete - but it has gone further than ever before so I am much more hopeful.
RE: 4.3.0-RC1 Firmware for Original Prusa MINI/MINI+ IS OUT
Ok. Lets hope the fault cause is corrupted thumb drive. They are sometimes too much like disposable items.
RE: 4.3.0-RC1 Firmware for Original Prusa MINI/MINI+ IS OUT
With a QR code generator, you can choose a level of error correction: Low, Medium, Quartile, or High. The higher the error correction, the more modules will populate your QR code, so you'll likely have to size up to meet the minimum module width.

Thank you very much..
