Diamondback nozzle won't print PLA

Has anybody managed to get the Diamondback nozzle to work with PLA? I'm finding lots of complaints online, but no solutions. I've attached a photo of a test print. As you can see, the first layer prints perfectly, but the second layer is a disaster that finished with a "clogged nozzle" error. The nozzle is not clogged (as is evidenced by the first layer). I've tried various temperatures and printed a tower, but it prints badly at all temperatures. I've tried a slight z offset (+.05), but that makes it worse. Has anybody managed to get this nozzle to work, and if so, what did you do?

Failed print: PLA and Diamondback nozzle

I don't have a diamondback, but I have thoughts. Here is the subset of my thoughts that should hopefully relevant. 😉

The first layer prints slower that the rest of the layers. So it looks like you may be trying to print too quickly when you get to the second layer. AFAIR Diamondback isn't a HF (high flow) nozzle. Are you slicing with the 0.4HF profile? If so, try with the regular 0.4 printer profile. (If it isn't available in your Prusa Slicer you may have to go through the configuration wizard again to enable the MK4S non high flow 0.4 printer profile.) Also, don't forget on the printer's screen to go into hardware settings to turn off the HF nozzle attribute (may as well turn on the hardened attribute while you are at it) or you will probably get a nag warning when you print something sliced with a non HF printer profile.

@Sembazuru, That was it! <slaps forehead>. I had the HF nozzle preset dialed in. It now prints perfectly! Thanks!!
