support settings in prusa slicer for mk4s
What are the best settings for the lastest version of the prusa slicer to use with supports on the MK4S? I need to print objects with the supports breaking away easily. Thank you in advance.
None, although from time to time you will probably use all of them.
The very best supports are always those tailored specifically to the part which you design along with it in CAD.
The preset supports and settings in slicer are provided as fallbacks and for occasions when precision is less important.
As a very rough guide:
Organic support for organic shapes - figurines, scans, toys and similar up to about 200mm tall.
Snug supports for practical prints - replacement parts, mechanisms, boxes and prototypes, also up to about 200mm tall.
Grid supports for tall prints.
- but there are plenty of exceptions. Welcome to the black arts.
Cheerio,
