Printing issue in PETG
Hi, I am looking for a solution for MK4S printing with PETG filament from start to finish. I'm using eSUN PETG filament with a 0.20mm layer height, 20% infill in a grid pattern, 240°C nozzle temperature, and 90°C bed temperature. Once the print is completed, I notice small dots on all layers, and the bottom shows warping along with the PEI sheet. Has anyone faced these issues?
RE: Printing issue in PETG
Small dots could be where the layer changes are. I get them with random seam. Check your slicer to see if you are using random instead of aligned. You can visualize it in the slicer. I am not near my computer with the slicer so I cannot look it up.
Warping is due to uneven cooling. I saw this early in my 3D printing experience at work with PETG as there as an AC vent blowing on the printer. Once printer isolated from the air flow, issues improved. Once printer put in a box, they disappeared. Bed temperature may need to change due to the filament.
If you have one dot per layer then @robin_13 is probably right, however, if you have many more dots moisture, damp filament, is most likely to be the cause.
Cheerio,
