PETG Prusament looks dull and prints poorly on MK4S compared to MK3S

Hi everyone,

I’m having some trouble printing PETG Prusament on my MK4S. The printed part looks very dry and matte, and I also notice some surface defects and inconsistent extrusion.

What’s strange is that when I print the exact same part with the same filament on my MK3S, it comes out much shinier and cleaner.

I’m using the same slicer profile (PETG prusament preset) and filament spool for both printers.

Has anyone experienced something similar? Could it be related to temperature calibration or flow settings on the MK4S?

Thanks for any help!

Funny, I'm having the same issue with my MK4S I just built. I was printing the parts for upgrading my mmu2 to mmu3, and the part had a distinct matte finish on most of the prints. While id chop this up to bad filament or crappy profiles, Im using a fresh spool of prusament jet black (dried for 8 hours), and the preconfigured gcode files for the mk4s on the mmu3 printables page. I'll try running a PID tune on it and seeing if that solves the issue, If it does I'll report back, fingers crossed 🤞

I think it might be the speed.. go slower for glossy finish.. in any case, I'd take the matte part any day ;P
