MK4 prints not sticking to Satin sheet

I have a brand-new MK4 printer that has been doing fine for a month or so, but now I'm having problems with PETG prints not sticking to the supplied 'Satin' sheet.  Prints either detach entirely or curl up on the edges, even with well-dehumidified filament, thoroughly cleaned sheet and 80C heat bed.

I have tried a 'Smooth PEI' sheet left over from my MK3s, and with it I have the opposite problem - PETG sticks TOO WELL, even with the heat bed at 40C.

Any idea what I'm doing wrong here?

TIA,

Frank

Prusament PETG preset bed temperature is 90C not 80C. Is there a reason to print at 80C? Going to 90C will help. Without seeing your model it's hard to say. You might need to add some brim.

Thanks for the reply.  I'll try 90 and see how that works on the satin sheet

90C and a thoroughly cleaned plate seems to work - thanks

Brand new Prusa steel sheets usually require a thorough wash with HOT water and Dawn/Fairy before use. Often, a fast rub with IPA isn’t enough and using the plate straight out of the box, you’ll probably have adhesion issues. That’s my experience with steel plates from Prusa and other brands too.

I suspect that they're factory shipped with a protective coat to prevent stains and premature rust.

RE: MK4 prints not sticking to Satin sheet

Hello, I have the same problem.
I am exclusively using PETG from different suppliers.
Recently, I have upgraded my MK4/MMU3 to MK4S/MMU3 and also purchase a textured plate.
With the standard slicer parameters, my PETG won't stick on the plate.
Plate as been cleaned with water and soap and also with IPA.
Exemple: layer at 0,1mm and first layer at 0,2mm ( I have also tried first layer at 1,5  1,6 1,7mm without success) bed temp 85 90°C  filament temp 235°C 240°C (according to filament spec).
I am really disappointed , because the final aspect of a print to a textured plate should be very nice.
I have read a lot of post concerning print on the textured plate but with the old version off MK3 where it is possible to change the Z level manually... but on the MK4S, no way.
Any idea is welcome.
Regards
EtienneP

Try cleaning with soap and water without using IPA.
Some IPA has impurities that reduce adhesion...

I had a blob of doom, earlier, (on a satin build plate) on a printer that has not been used to a while, so after clearing the blob,
I washed and dried the build plate, calibrated the Z axis, and being a mk3.9 printer the printer sorted out LiveZ and mesh bed levelling.
if it had been one of my mk2's or mk3's I would have checked live Z as well
then re printed the item with the same Gcode, as failed earlier

Hello, thanks for the reply….as I said in my previous post…I have cleaned the sheet with hot water and soap….but with the MK4S with the automatic leveling I can’t reduce the Z high.

RE: MK4 prints not sticking to Satin sheet

you also said you used ipa
ipa is not always good...

other options include rubbing the textured surface with fine abrasive paper, or using a NEW  scotchbright kitchen pad to clean the surface,
never use pads that have been used on dishes, because there may be the remains of grease on the surface
