RE: First layer issues
Dumb question, you said adjusted the pinda, but the LCD cover is from a MK4 and that doesn't use a pina probe, so which printer are you using?
Also for the sheet, what are you cleaning the bed with?
How old is the sheet?
What are you printing with (filament type) and what settings are you using?

Thanks, sorry, I mixed something I did up with a Prusa mini fix I did recently. I spoke out of idocy. So I did run full calibration. I use both hot water and soap for cleans and for deep cleans I will use a 90% Iso. The sheet is the original, so maybe its that simple? I am using PLA, exclusively.

No worries... Just wanted to make sure the right info was there 🙂
I was asking about the sheet, since the MK4S handles the first layer height, that if the sheet is old, or heavily used, with the smooth sheets you can resurface the sheet.
Get some acetone, plain acetone, with no additives (you can use cheap nail polish remover with no extras in it). Take abut a teaspoon and poor it on sheet and spread it around. Then you would take a green scrubby / scouring pad (the green ones, NOT a metal one) and very lightly buff the sheet with the scrubby and acetone. It will get a slight haze to the sheet. Once it's done, wash the sheet with warm water and a tiny bit of dish soap, let it dry and then try again.
That works well if the sheet is old or heavily used.
I would also pop off she sheet and make sure the underside of the bedsheet and the bed itself is actually clean and nothing is caught under it.

It also worked for me to carefully sand the new plate dry with the green plastic part of a new dish sponge. It will lose a little shine, but you can't tell anything on the print. By the way, Josef Průša also recommended this operation during MK2 when the PEI foil was directly glued to the bed. And it worked then and it should work now, since the sheet metal coating is the same PEI as it was then.
