Getting broken filament out of tube

For some reason, the filament is broken in the tube. I can pull out the part connecting to the roll, but there is still quite a bit of filament in the tube.

What should I do to fix it?

Ideally, I'd like to pull out the broken part of the filament and then reload as normal, but I'm not sure how to get to the filament in the tube.

Pointers appreciated!

Happened to me as well. Don't know how exactly it happened. But it was after I inserted filament with really long and stringy tip.

Solved with heat gun and some patience. I ended up heating it real hot (outside of printer) and partly let it drip and partly tried to weld other filament to it and pull it up. It was not fun. Holding the filaments so pushed together so they cool down...

Interesting. I eventually got it to "reload" the filament... and then did purge, purge, purge, purge, ... until there was unbroken filament all the way through. Not ideal! 🙂
