Firmware Update 6.2.0

Good Morning -

Ever since installing firmware update 6.2.0 on February 8th, everytime I send anything to my MK4S via the PrusaSlicer and PrusaConnect, I get an error saying that the code isn't compatible and a high-flow nozzle is required.  I tell it to print anyway and it prints my model perfectly anyway.

But nothing about how the way I've been doing anything changed and I don't know what to adjust in PrusaSlicer to make the error stop happening.

Any advice?

Thanks, Mary.

I assume you're slicing with a HF profile and you have a high flow nozzle on the printer? In which case you have to specify that in the Hardware section of the printer's menu: Settings>Hardware>Printhead, or the printer and slicer think they're incompatible.

Honestly, I don't know.  I am using the same 0.4 nozzle that I've been using since I got the MK4S a few months ago, and I haven't changed anything about any settings in the PrusaSlicer.  Like I said, the error just started up out of nowhere after the update.

I will check those things, but I don't know how they would have changed from before and after the update.

Ok guys - I just checked the settings on the printer and the 'high flow' nozzle is off.  I never changed it one way or the other, so I assume that's the default.

The error is popping up in the PrusaConnect window after I send the file.  I just tell it to print anyway and it does.

Should I change the setting for 'high flow' nozzle to on?  Even though I don't have one (unless the default one qualifies).

Yes.  I experienced the same message and toggling the "high flow nozzle" to ON at the printer will solve this.

This is actually a problem already reported by others (installing 6.2 resets the HW nozzle setting to off and needs manual change back to on) and hopefully due for a fix in the next version of the FW...

The Mk4S by default comes with a HF nozzle so yes, you want to turn the setting on on the printer.

Reverting to off in the latest fw is a bug. I believe I've seen a pull request on GitHub to change the behavior back to what it was.

Thank you!  I did finally try that and the error stopped happening.  It's good to know I guessed right and I appreciate your help.

Hello, I have problems after new update as well but with the connection from my pc to PrusaSlicer. Now I can not connect and load any files from my PC or phone directly to printer. The printer is connected to same wifi as my phone or pc. Even restart the printer does not work.
