Filament loading after first purge
Hello everyone,
I have a Prusa MK4 with the MMU3, and since this morning, it loads the filament after the purge at the start of the print.
It does the bed leveling, bed heating, nozzle heating... It starts the purge line before printing, and right after, it loads the filament from the MMU3.
The print starts normally, but there is no filament at the nozzle for 6-7 seconds, so nothing is printed, and when the filament reaches the nozzle, everything returns to normal...
Any ideas anyone?
Thanks in advance 🙂
RE: Filament loading after first purge
the Purche line is going with loading filament so only half of the purch line is not printed corrctly, is ok
if not
check filament sensor and finda calibration as wrote in the manual
i have check my newbuild after midprint it start to change filament, on this print i only printing with one i have do little adjustments on finda
RE: Filament loading after first purge
Actually, the purge line is going without filament. When the purge line start, the filament is still in the MMU.
Then the printer's head move to start de print, stop and then the filament is loaded. When the filament is loaded into the NexTruder, the print starts, but it takes a few seconds before the filament reaches the nozzle. So the printer's print with nothing for these few first seconds.

This is something the slicer must be doing. Can you re-create your printer profile from the default MK4 with MMU3 profile in prusaslicer? I'm wondering if somehow you got the XL profile selected (that's the only printer I can see doing something different with filament loading)...

RE: Filament loading after first purge
Hi, I went through the configuration wizard and kept only the MK4 with MMU3 profile. Before I had the MK4 without MMU also.
It somehow resolve the problem, but I have no idea what I changed that cause it.
Thx for your answers all 🙂
