Error on MK4S -- incompatible GCODE?
I completed my MK3S+ to MK4S upgrade, all seems to be working correctly physically. I installed the latest PrusaSlicer, drivers (MacOS), and printer firmware, and selected the printer and filament profiles I need (MK4S and Prusament PETG/Generic PETG), imported an STL, sliced it, then brought it over to my MK4S and inserted the stick (the USB that came with the upgrade). On every file I slice now, the printer tells me that it was sliced for a different printer and/or the GCODE is not 100% compatible with this printer (abort/continue). If I select to continue, items print normally, but, why is it giving me this error? I think it may have even given me an error about binary gcode, so I disabled that in the settings but am still getting this error. What do I need to fix?

It sounds like your printer still thinks it is a MK3, not done the upgrade myself but you might want to check any upgrades to the firmware

MK4s is completely different hardware from the MK3s..,. all that remains of the original printer is the frame, power supply, heatbed and some screws that hold it together. No way to run the old firmware on it.

Ok. So you have two options:
- There is a problem with the slicer
- There is a problem with the firmware
Obviously you don't know which it is, so what I would do is:
- Uninstall slicer, manually make sure all supporting files are gone, look in programs, roaming and documents folders. Re install.
- Manually reflash the firmware to the latest version for the mk4s
Neither are particularly onerous so I would do both.

Did you set the correct printer type in the menu on the printer's display? You can (or perhaps in your case have to) select between MK4 and MK4S. I can't check right now, but that is probably under Setup > Hardware.

This was the issue. Not sure why it came set from the factory as an MK4 (since it's an MK3S+ to MK4S upgrade kit), but it was. Changed it to MK4S and the error is gone. Thanks!
