Complete Printer Assembly
I have a brand new MK4S and the printer complete assembly broke as it fell off the bench. How do I replace the whole printer assembly, do they have the part or is this a part by part with zillions of pieces. I just want to disconnect the broken piece on the rail and place a whole new printer assembly, can it be done?
RE: Complete Printer Assembly
This is definitely one of those times when a photo or two so other people know exactly what you're asking about, but if you're talking about the frame then I'd expect a fair bit of dismantling.
RE: Complete Printer Assembly
As Steve said, a picture would be helpful. Otherwise, you can get all the parts from Prusa (if they're not listed on https://www.prusa3d.com/category/spare-parts/, ask support, they can get all the parts for you). As for disassembly and reassembly, you can see the whole process (with images) at https://help.prusa3d.com/manual/original-prusa-mk4s-kit-assembly_2167.
Since you wrote "broken piece on the rail", I would assume(!) you are talking about the extruder. That might turn out to be a bit fiddly, as usually, the extruder is assembled on the "rail" - and you may have a lot of still useful parts in there (like the motor and gearing). Talk/chat/write to support.
