How to Edit or Add On-printer Filament Profiles? (Or otherwise handle TPU)

Hi all,

I get good prints from the MK4 and TPU, but the firmware doesn't make it easy. The most meaningful problem that torpedoed my print las night, is that Prusa mis-names "TPU" as "Flex". But they haven't made their printers smart enough to understand that TPU is "Flex". So you tell it to print, and it pops up error messaged that halt things until a user intervenes. (I walked in this morning to an error message still sitting there, costing me a day. Not user friendly!)

So, how can I create a "TPU" profile for the MK4? I have this in Prusa Slicer (And Orca). And the gcode is great. I mainly want to get rid of that error message. It would also be nice to tell the printer the correct temps for my filament, which are significantly different from the default "Flex" profile.

Thanks in advance for any help.

RE:

The 6.0.2-alpha releases have 'Improved Filament Management' that might address this. Look at the section of that name under the summary of the alpha1 release. Haven't tried it myself, though.
