RE: Favorite Filaments?
The questions are relevant but unnecessary. There are different suppliers in each country and so the filament brands will vary by country. And besides, it is known that 10 printers have 11 different opinions.
RE: Favorite Filaments?
For the price, Elegoo Rapid PETG has been very nice and the ol' MK4s hasn't complained once. PLA, I usually end up with SUNLU brand. Again, no issues. I would start with whatever you find reasonably priced. A little tuning and drying and it all goes down.
RE: Favorite Filaments?
I've been using various filaments I purchase from Amazon: Elegoo, Overture, Duramic and eSun in both PLA and PETG. No problems with any of them using the standard Prusa profiles. The eSun brand is a bit stringy though compared to the others, but still manageable.
RE: Favorite Filaments?
I like Prusament's PLA and PETG. The manufacturing consistency is legendary. Their diameter tolerance is incredibly tight (you can even scan a QR code on the spool to see its specific manufacturing data), the winding is perfect (no tangles!), and the colors are vibrant and consistent. It just works reliably with minimal fuss and produces beautiful prints. It might be a bit pricier, but for important prints or when you just want zero hassle, it's worth it. However, recently I've also been trying wood filament. Do you have any suggestions?

RE: Favorite Filaments?
PLA : Fillamentum and Prusament regular PLA. I stay well away from Prusament PLA blend, a very brittle and prone to warp stuff.
PETG : Geeetech. Prusa's PETG is OK. but more finicky to print and prone to stringing than the Geeetech, which is also cheaper.
Non PLA/PETG :
- Prusament PA11-CF nylon.carbon fiber. Terrific filament, Only problem is the price.
- Fillamentum and Prusament ASA. Both are top notch.
- Eryone TPU95. Excellent TPU from a low profile brand at a very affordable price. Available on Amazon European sites. I don't know if it's available worlwide.
RE: Favorite Filaments?
I use Prusament and 3D Fox, a local supplier. The fox is darn cheep, half of Prusament. And they sell overturns, which is basically random colour, sometimes a gradient when they swap colours, and it is another 30% off.
I like using Prusament, when it matters. However, I have visible line on changing spool even with that (litophane print with the vanilla white)
I love the look of PLA Blends. I didn't stress the prints, so cannot comment on that.
I'll need to look at other options for more colour variety.
RE: Favorite Filaments?
I only prints bits as a hobby - nothing functional most of the time, and. nothing to sell, but I generally use PLA 95% of the time - its easy to work with and for the odd small model etc its perfect.
I do like the Marble Grey and SandStone colours, and any sparkly filaments, as the hide the layer lines better as well as look cool!
I use a mix of Prusament (when I have enough points to get free spools!) and Bambu filament (as its cheap and the postage costs a fraction of what Prusa charge!).
I did use Elegoo clear PLA in the past which worked well too. Not completely clear of course, but printed fine - I just don't like the cardboard spools.
RE: Favorite Filaments?
So far, I have had the most success with Prusament (PLA / PETG / ASA / PVB) and Polymaker (PVB / PETG). SainSmart has been mostly good to me, as well.
Other makers have been a mixed bag for me - I tend to get tangling with Overture, but I love the rock PLA, so I work through it.
I have been thinking about trying Bambu (cost is a factor there). Has anyone had good experiences with their filaments ?
Prusa Core One, MK4S w/ MMU3 (formerly MK4 / MMU3, MK3S+/MMU2), 2 Prusa MINI+, Octoprint. PETG, PVB, (some) PLA.
