Considering the upgrade from 3S+ - speed and profiles?

Although my 3S+ continues to work well, the upgrades in the 4S look very compelling.  My question is about profiles in the Prusa slicer...   Are there profiles for both the high flow and regular nozzles for each material?  And is the printing speed maxed out for the high flow profiles, or do they have it at a conservative setting and is that significantly higher than for the regular nozzle?  Final question is does the high flow and faster speed capability work equally across the various materials or is it better with some than others?

I upgraded my printer from a 3S+ to a MK4 and now a MK4S, and I would say in short go for it :). There are separate profiles for the regular and HF nozzle. I can't answer to whether they have it set conservative, but am guessing they probably do. I've used the high flow now with PLA, PETG and ASA so far and the results have turned out as expected (ie: great!). You can install the profiles in PrusaSlicer and play around with the slicer to see how long it takes with the different settings. That's what I did prior to upgrading my MK4 to MK4S.

Sounds good, thanks!  I need to decide if I want to do the upgrades myself or get a pre-built.  I read some of the upgrade instructions and it doesn't seem all that difficult, but it does seem like it would take a lot of time.  So, IDK.

Are you printing ASA with the open frame or do you have an enclosure?

I've built all my Prusa's from a kit, so am pretty comfortable building and upgrading them. I wouldn't say the upgrade is that difficult if you are comfortable taking things apart and tinkering. Just take your time. I also purchased a MK4 kit and was planning on just keeping my 3S+, but after getting the MK4 and enjoying the speed increase decided to upgrade the 3S+ as well.

I print ASA with a make shift enclosure. It is really rudimentary, but works fine for my needs as I don't print ASA that often. I have two empty filament boxes that I place at the front and back of the printer, and then just drape these towels over the printer. I also lift the towel and over the power supply so it is open to cooling.

I am very handy and mechanical, I just don't know if I want to spend a couple days on the upgrade.  When it comes to 3D printing I am more into designing and printing stuff I need than I am in the nitty gritty 3D hobbyist stuff.  I need to cobble together some sort of improvised enclosure, too for the odd print with materials that need one.
