Broken QR code on screen "Gcode on the USB drive is corrupt. Fix manually before resuming"
Hi there,
Today, on a rather complicated vase print, I got this error for the first time:
"Gcode on the USB drive is corrupt. Fix manually before resuming"
There was a QR code on the display, which lead to https://prusa.io/26534/T4 , which redirects to...prusa3d.com/cs.
I suppose the redirect is broken and is supposed to lead to a documentation page.
So I took out the flash disk, put it in my computer, saw that the gcode file was actually a folder, with a single file inside (I think the name of the file was a single digit or a letter). Deleted the folder, and saved the gcode from the slicer under the same name as the folder was. Plugged back into the printer, pressed Continue, and print seems to continue fine.
The gcode was copied to the printer using Prusa Connect.
It happened to me already a few times that files could not be transferred to the printer (with Connect) because the filesystem of the flash disk was corrupted. I suppose this is because it is mounted RW, and we turn off the printer with the on/off switch on the power supply, which just cuts power immediately. Maybe I missed it: Is there a way to unmount the USB before the power off / is there a sign on the screen that it is currently mounted RW (maybe for saving from Connect) and the printer should not be turned off?

None of those QR codes have ever worked for me.

I completely see where you’re coming from — that sounds like a proper headache to deal with, especially when you just want a smooth print.

This may just be your drive, I have the printer powered via a smart plug, it is in a separate building and I wanted to save myself a few trips back and forth just to turn the printer on/off, so far the usb drive holds up fine.
