Why did the instructions site change?
I liked it better before, made more sense, and navigation was easier. I'm in the middle of building this thing and the instructions now look different. why
RE: Why did the instructions site change?
I noticed the change in the middle of a project as well. It's different, which takes some getting used to, however I actually think it's a better setup because now it's not easy to skip steps. In the old version it's was easy to miss a step of you weren't paying close attention.
RE:
I was also in the middle of assembly when it changed (to the tune of not even being able to access the page while it was being swapped out). While I think the new version has... potential, I hate not being able to see the comments together with the step on mobile. On PC and on a tablet (in landscape only), you can at least get the comments and the step together in a single view, but on mobile you can only view one or the other at a time.
I also preferred being able to look ahead more easily to see where things were leading, especially for the occasional "read everything before you proceed" steps, but that can be worked around -- and could largely be a matter of getting used to the new layout anyway.
