Whole print shifted after a few layers

Any ideas on what could cause the print to shift after a couple layers ?  Happened on a couple prints, after a few layers the whole print seems like it got offset for the rest of the print (which printed normally for the rest of the print).  Wasn't there when it happened so didn't hear/see anything.

Thanks for any insight,

RE: Whole print shifted after a few layers

It's hard to diagnose from just looking at those pictures. Usually a layer shift occurs when the nozzle crashes into the print somewhere and skips steps on the motors.

Looks like your printing on the textured sheet.  What material are you printing with?

If you can next time stay near the printer and keep an eye on it to see if you can catch when the layer shift happens.  Then you can stop the print to analyze.  That will be much more useful for diagnosing the issue.

Here is one right after the layer shift, didn't catch it when it actually happened but if this view could help to determine possible cause.

I have the same experience since the upgrade, never had any issues before. Belts are adjusted, checked the screws, etc.

I am experience "open lines" in the print which also could be a shift.
