Upgrade wishes
In general the upgrade from the 4 is fairly straightforward… however, things I didn’t like. The whole using regular screws into plastic as self-tapping is kinda very 2019, especially in an injection molded part like the display. I mean throw some threaded inserts in, please. Not a part that fun to crank on with an Allen wrench right near the frame. Or if we insist on the current techniques, gimme a nut slot/pocket with clearance hole. On the tensioner threading into the plastic was easy even with the CF, since it was a flexible part, so it wasn’t tapping as much.
the directions on that spacer on the extruder cover was confusing, like is there a part or not? It seems fine but that’s a part you don’t want wobbling around…
RE: Upgrade wishes
Additionally the screws for the new fan from the sides, could we not have made them a mm or 2 longer? Geez even without the bracket they barely engage the threads, and not it’s not alignment, I had no problem putting in a 6mm button head hex screw, just these tiny ones, sort of like the heat sink fan cable give a tiny bit of slop guys…
