MK4S incorrect bed temp
I just finished assembling my mk4s. I did an upgrade from a mk3 to the MK4s. I noticed I have to set the bed to 68C to get around 55-60c.
I was sure to tape the bed thermistor inside the circle exactly as the manual says. I checked my Mini with the same inferred thermometer and that one is 55-60c when set to 60c so I’m sure the thermometer works fine.
I saw some other posts with the same issue and wanted to see if there’s a conclusion to this problem. My bed is from the mk3 and one thing I notice is when it gets up to temp the red led is almost on solid, vs before it would blink on and off very fast. Looks like the MK4s uses different pwm to control the heated bed and maybe this is the reason?
also the new thermistor is like a pcb and not like the glass bead as shown in the manual. Maybe it’s possibly i put it upside down? I remember one side you could see the traces and the other you can’t.
